Prayer and Fasting Journey Day 21

“But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.” (Acts 20:24 NKJV)

Today we finish the 21 day emphasis on prayer and fasting. We celebrate completion of the commitments we have made to the Lord. I pray you have spent much time in the presence of the Lord. Now we are ready to move forward in God’s Word and God’s plans for our lives individually, our families and Riverlife Church! Finish well on this journey and get ready to move forward in the power of the Holy Spirit! Great job, but the work continues…..

Prayer and Fasting Journey Day 19

“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good.” (Romans 8:28 ESV)

Whatever you are facing, wherever you find yourself at this very moment, look for the good God wants to bring through your situation. Rather than focusing on the negatives of the situation determine to look to find the goodness of God. Our promise is that God will work on behalf of those who love Him. Today, spend time expressing your love for the Lord and expect all things to work together for good.

Prayer and Fasting Journey Day 17

“For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my Word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succed in the thing for which I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:10, 11 ESV)

What a great message for us today. God’s Word will not return empty, it will always produce! What is the Word of God producing in your life? Keep your faith, remain bold in declaring the Word and prepare for the promises of God to be seen. The Lord will accomplish His purpose through His Word. Our prayer today is “Lord let Your Word be true in our life”!

Prayer and Fasting Journey Day 15

“For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” (2 Timothy 1:6, 7 ESV)

Focus on what God has given to you and quit accepting what is not from the Lord. Be bold and declare the gifts of God. Ask God to remove fear from your life and expect to experience all that God has prepared for you!

Prayer and Fasting Journey Day 12

“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.” (James 4:8 ESV)

This needs to be the desire of every believer. Draw near to God! Pursue Him as never before. As you search to come closer to Him, he will then draw closer to you. Life is easier when you realize how close God really is and the only way to keep that in focus is to spend time with the Lord. Spend time today in pursuit of your Lord!

Prayer and Fasting Journey Day 11

“Search me. O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!” (Psalm 139:23, 24 ESV)

Let this be your prayer this evening. Let God search you and show you any changes that need to be made. Doing this will result in walking in the everlasting way! This type of prayer will bring about true transformation!

Prayer and Fasting Journey Day 10

“O Lord, God of Israel, there is no God like you, in heaven or on earth, keeping covenant and showing steadfast love to Your servants who walk before You with all their heart, who have kept with Your servant David my father what You declared to him. You spoke with your mouth, and with Your hand have fulfilled it this day”. (2 Chronicles 6:14, 15 ESV)

God keeps His promises! This verse reminds us of this great truth. As you pray today, thank God for being faithful to all of His promises. Never give up on a promise from the Lord but stand strong and believe. Reflect on your life and remind yourself of the promises of God that have been kept. Now, declare in the name of Jesus, all of the promises of God are yours and walk in confidence and faith in Christ Jesus your Lord.

Prayer and Fasting Journey Day 9

“Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s” (1 Corinthians 6:19,20).

You have the opportunity today to yield your body for the Lord’s use. Submit yourself completely to Him and live in pure obedience to His Word. Pray for the ability to glorify God in everything you do and the Spirit of the Lord will enable you to succeed. Your mission if you choose to accept it; live a life that glorifies the Lord!

Prayer and Fasting Journey Day 8

“Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know” (Jeremiah 33:3).

The Lord says if we will call to Him, He will answer us. Not He might answer, but He will answer us. We should pray and open our heart to listen for His response. The only question is timing, the answer will come just listen by faith and you will receive. The Lord may deposit the answer in your heart, may respond through the Word, He could use another person, or He could speak to you louder and more clear than any voice you have ever heard. Today, pray and listen for the Lord’s response.

Prayer and Fasting Journey Day 7

“But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers. And above al things have fervent love for one another, for love will cover a multitude of sins. Be hospitable to one another without grumbling. As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God” (1 Peter 4:7-10).

From the message this morning we learned the necessity to Pray, Love, and Serve! Prayer is not an option but a command. Love is not just a feeling but a response to God’s going first and offering His grace through Jesus Christ. Serving others with the gifts God has given us is vital for our world to see God’s love and grace. Be a good steward of the grace of God and pray, love, and serve.
